Browser extension
Chrome and Edge, Firefox soon
Your Onplana work, one click from the toolbar.
The work assigned to you, one click from your toolbar. Quick-add in plain language and turn any web page into a task with its link.
Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Free. Firefox is in review.
What it looks like
The real app, not a mock-up. These are the screenshots from the store listing.
- See what's due, grouped by day
- Capture any page as a task
- Log an issue about the page you are on
See what is due without changing tabs
Open the popup and your assigned work is there, grouped into overdue, today and this week, with a badge on the toolbar icon so you can tell at a glance whether anything needs you. Filter to one project when you are heads-down on it.
Capture the page you are looking at
Most tasks start as something you were already reading. Capture the current page as a task and it keeps the link and the title, so the context survives instead of being retyped from memory. Selected text on the page becomes the description.
Add a task in the words you would say it
Quick-add takes plain language, so "review the vendor contract Friday" becomes a task with a due date. There is no form to fill in and nothing to categorise up front.
Report a problem where you found it
Log an issue about the page you are on and it lands in the project Issue Log rather than a chat message that scrolls away. Issues are a first-class artifact in Onplana, not a tagged task.
Questions
When will it be on Firefox?
It is submitted and in review on addons.mozilla.org. Firefox installs from AMO rather than the Chrome Web Store, so there is nothing to install until that listing is approved, and this page will carry the button when it is.
Does it work in Edge?
Yes, and Edge has its own listing so it updates and reviews on its own schedule. Edge can also install from the Chrome Web Store, but the Edge listing is the one to use if you are on Edge.
What can it see?
It signs in to your Onplana account with a scoped token that can read and update your tasks, issues and projects. Page capture reads the URL and title of the tab you explicitly capture, when you ask it to.
Does it cost anything?
No. Every Onplana Tasks companion is free and included with every plan, including the free plan. It is a companion to your Onplana account rather than a separate product.
Do I need it to use Onplana?
No. Everything it does, the web app does. The companions exist so the work you have been assigned is one click, one keystroke or one swipe away instead of a tab you have to go and find.
Will my work sync?
Yes. It is the same account and the same data, so a task you complete in a companion is complete everywhere, and a task assigned to you in the web app appears here.
The rest of the family
Same account, same work, wherever you are. Every one is free.
