Onplana Tasks for Google Calendar

Google Workspace Marketplace

Needs an Onplana account

Your Onplana work, beside your calendar.

The work assigned to you in a panel beside Google Calendar, grouped by when it is due. Tick tasks off and quick-add a task or an issue without leaving the calendar.

Google Calendar on the web and an Onplana account. Free on every plan.

  • Your tasks beside your calendar, grouped by due date
  • Tick a task done, or quick-add a task or an issue
  • Reads no calendar events or email

Your assigned work, next to your day

Open the Onplana Tasks panel in Google Calendar and the work assigned to you across your projects is there, grouped into Overdue, Today, This week, Later and No date, with overdue work first. You see what is due beside the meetings competing for the same hours, without another tab.

Tick it off, or open it in Onplana

The checkbox on a task marks it done in Onplana, with the same permissions and rules as the web app. Select a task to open it in Onplana on the web, or View all for your full list.

Add a task or an issue while it is on your mind

Quick add takes a task, assigned to you in a project you pick or with no project, or an issue, without leaving Calendar. The Issues tab lists the open issues you own or reported, newest first.

Every workspace you belong to

If you are in more than one Onplana workspace, the panel menu switches between them. A workspace that restricts sign-in to an IP allowlist, or requires two-step verification, shows a notice instead of its tasks: Calendar cannot prove either, so the add-on refuses rather than weaken them. Use Onplana on the web for that one.

What it reads, and what it does not

The add-on asks Google for your account email and basic profile, to know which Onplana account the panel belongs to, and your Calendar language, so the panel speaks it. It does not read your calendar, your events or your email, and Onplana keeps no Google token for it. You connect once: sign in to Onplana, then confirm with the same Google account you use in Calendar.

Install it for yourself or your whole domain

Install it from the Google Workspace Marketplace, or from Get add-ons in the Calendar side panel. A Google Workspace admin can install it for everyone in the domain, or for chosen organizational units, from the Google Admin console.

Questions

Do I need an Onplana account?

Yes. The panel shows the work in your Onplana account, so it asks you to connect one the first time you open it. If you are new, create a free account first; the add-on works on every plan, including Free.

Does it cost anything?

No. The add-on is free and works on every Onplana plan, including the free plan.

Does it read or change my calendar?

No. It does not read your calendar, your events or your email, and it never creates or edits an event. It shows and updates your Onplana work only.

Why does one of my workspaces show a notice instead of tasks?

That workspace restricts sign-in to an IP allowlist or requires two-step verification, and Calendar cannot prove either. The add-on refuses rather than weaken the rule. Your other workspaces still work in the panel.

Can an admin install it for everyone?

Yes. A Google Workspace admin can install it for the whole domain, or for chosen organizational units, from the Google Admin console, and can remove or block it there too. Each person still connects their own Onplana account.

Do I need it to use Onplana?

No. Everything it does, the web app does. The companions exist so the work you have been assigned is one click, one keystroke or one swipe away instead of a tab you have to go and find.

Will my work sync?

Yes. It is the same account and the same data, so a task you complete in a companion is complete everywhere, and a task assigned to you in the web app appears here.
