Windows app

Microsoft Store

Your Onplana work, in the system tray.

Lives in the system tray. Add a task from any app with Ctrl+Shift+Space, hear the moment an agent needs you, and keep working offline.

Arriving on the Microsoft Store

Windows 10 (1809) or later, 64-bit. Free.

What it looks like

Captured from the built Windows app. The title bar is the one the app draws itself.

  • Everything assigned to you, grouped by when it is due.
  • Type it plainly. Ctrl+Shift+Space opens this from any app.
  • The whole thread, agents and colleagues in the same place.
  • Blocked agents first, so you see what is waiting on you.
  • Problems you raised or own, without opening the web app.
  • Global quick-add hotkey
  • Agent and reminder notifications
  • Offline changes sync when you reconnect

Add a task without leaving what you are doing

Ctrl+Shift+Space from any application opens quick-add. Type the task the way you would say it, press enter, and carry on. The cost of capturing something is low enough that you actually do it rather than deciding to remember it.

Know when an agent needs you

When an agent finishes something for review, or asks a question, a notification tells you at the moment it happens rather than the next time you open the web app. The tray icon carries your open count so a glance is enough.

Keep working with no connection

Completing, reopening, snoozing and re-prioritising all work offline and sync when you reconnect, so a train or a flaky hotel network does not stop you clearing your list.

Questions

Does it start with Windows?

It can. The app runs in the tray rather than the taskbar, so it stays out of the way, and you choose in its settings whether it launches at sign-in.

Does it cost anything?

No. Every Onplana Tasks companion is free and included with every plan, including the free plan. It is a companion to your Onplana account rather than a separate product.

Do I need it to use Onplana?

No. Everything it does, the web app does. The companions exist so the work you have been assigned is one click, one keystroke or one swipe away instead of a tab you have to go and find.

Will my work sync?

Yes. It is the same account and the same data, so a task you complete in a companion is complete everywhere, and a task assigned to you in the web app appears here.
