The migration path, before you commit to anything
A .mpp opened directly, dependencies intact
Planview's Projectplace integrations page does not list Microsoft Project. This is the same file uploaded as .mpp, with dependency types, custom fields, baselines and calendars mapped before anything is committed, and you can run it on your own file without creating an account.
When Projectplace fits

Where these claims come from
Every Projectplace statement on this page was read from Planview's own pages on 25 September 2026. On that date the Projectplace integrations page listed eleven third-party integrations, including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint, Power Automate and Power BI, and did not list Microsoft Project. Planview does publish a Microsoft Project Add-In, but for Planview Enterprise One, which is a different product. Where their documentation is silent on a capability we have written that it is silent, which is not the same as saying the capability is absent.
