Frequently asked questions
Is it free, and do I need to sign up?
Free, and no. The timesheet is built in your browser and downloaded straight away: no email, no account, nothing uploaded.
Does it open in Excel and Google Sheets?
Yes. It downloads as a CSV file, which Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice and Numbers all open directly. The totals are real formulas, so when you change an hour the row, day and month totals change with it.
What is in the file?
Your name and the month at the top, then one row per project or activity and one column per day of the month, each day labelled with its weekday. Every row has a total, every day has a total, and the bottom-right cell is the month total. Weekends start empty.
Does it know about public holidays?
No. Holidays differ by country and employer, so every working day starts with the hours you set. Clear the holidays in the spreadsheet, or type the leave hours on a row of their own.
Can I use it for several people?
Build one per person: each file carries one name and one month. That is also where a spreadsheet timesheet starts to hurt, because somebody then has to collect the files, check them and add them up.
