The status report
writes itself from the plan.
Ask for the update and the AI writes it from the project as it stands. The dashboards and reports read the same tasks, so nobody rebuilds the numbers in a spreadsheet first.
What you get
From the daily screen to the steering pack
Every view below reads the live tasks, so the report and the dashboard cannot tell two different stories.
A status report written from the plan
The AI reads the project's tasks, milestones and finished work, blocked and overdue items first, and writes the update. Edit it, then email it to the people who asked. It uses your AI token balance.
A dashboard for each role
Managers open on portfolio health; team members open on My Work, the tasks waiting for them across every project.
Build your own dashboard
Pick the cards that answer your question, from stats and charts to task lists and governance, and arrange them on a grid.
Reports across every project
Choose the data, the columns and the grouping, then read it as a table or a chart, across every project you can see. Save it to run again.
Share a report with no account
Send stakeholders a read-only link, with a password and an expiry date if you want them. Revoke it and the link stops working at once.
PDF, Excel and CSV
Export a saved report as a PDF for the steering pack, or as Excel or CSV for the people who will slice it further.
A saved report on the dashboard
Pin a saved report as a live card on your dashboard, so the view you built once is there every morning.
Portfolio health
Red, amber and green health rolled up across projects, with cost performance and budgets added together, so the portfolio review starts from the work.
Power BI and Excel
When the report has to live in Power BI, it reads Onplana's OData feed with a reporting token instead of an export someone has to remember.
One project, then all of them
The same numbers at every level
A project manager, a sponsor and a portfolio board ask different questions of the same work. Each gets a view that reads it directly.
The project lead asks the AI for this week's update and edits it before it goes.
The sponsor opens a shared report link, with no account and nothing to install.
The portfolio board reads health rolled up across projects, with cost performance and budgets beside it.

Questions about reporting
Which plan do I need?
The AI status report is on every plan, including Free, drawing on your AI token balance. The cross-project report builder, its share links and exports are on every plan, including Free, and the OData feed for Power BI on every plan, including Free. Building your own dashboard is on the Professional plan and up, and pinning a saved report on it on the Professional plan and up. Portfolio health is on the Business plan and up.
Where does the status report get its facts?
From the project as it stands when you ask: how many tasks are in each status, the open milestones and the work finished most recently, with blocked and overdue tasks listed first. The budget and planned costs go in only when the person asking is allowed to see costs.
Can I send the report to people outside Onplana?
Yes. Email the report from the project to the people who need it, inside or outside your organization, or share a saved report as a read-only link with an optional password and expiry date. Emailing is limited to a set number of recipients an hour, so a report cannot be used to send bulk mail.
What is the difference between a dashboard and a report?
A dashboard is the screen you open every day, made of cards. A report is a question you ask of the data, with the columns, grouping and chart you chose, which you can save, export, share or pin onto a dashboard as a card.
Can the numbers go into Power BI?
Yes. Power BI and Excel read Onplana's OData feed with a personal access token that has the reporting scope, so the report there reads the live plan on every refresh and shows only what that person can see in Onplana.
Spend Friday on the work, not the report.
